News of Matthew Perry’s sudden death sent shockwaves throughout Hollywood Saturday.

The “Friends” actor died at age 54 due to an apparent drowning, law enforcement sources told TMZ.

First responders reportedly found the actor in his jacuzzi after his assistant reported a cardiac arrest, per the outlet.

However, officials told TMZ that no drugs were found at the scene and they do not suspect foul play.

Warner Bros. reacted to the news via Instagram, sharing a photo of Perry from his time in “Friends.”

“We are devastated to learn of Matthew Perry’s passing. He was a true gift to us all. Our heart goes out to his family, loved ones, and all of his fans,” they captioned the emotional post.

Following the news, several celebrities took to social media to mourn the loss of the beloved actor.

Piers Morgan was one of the first celebs to react on Twitter, sharing a photo of Perry from his time on the hit sitcom.

“RIP Matthew Perry, 54,” Morgan tweeted. “The Friends star was a great actor, but by his own admission, a very tormented guy. His recent autobiography about his addiction-ravaged life was one of the most powerful, honest and revealing I’ve ever read. Such sad news.”

Selma Blair voiced her dismay on Instagram, calling Perry her “oldest boy friend.”

“All of us loved Matthew Perry, and I did especially,” she captioned a selfie of the two. “Every day. I loved him unconditionally. And he me. And I’m broken. Broken hearted. Sweet dreams Matty. Sweet dreams.”

Selma Blair was one of the first people to pay tribute to Perry.

Olivia Munn shared several of her favorite clips from the show on her Instagram Story, writing, “Oh no 💔.”

“He struggled so much with addiction and was brave enough to be open and honest about it. I’m so sorry to his family and friends who are getting the news today. Nothing short of heartbreaking. Rest in love, Matthew Perry.”

“Botched” star Paul Nassif also took to Twitter saying he was “shocked and saddened” by Perry’s “sudden passing.”

“You gave the whole world the priceless gifts of light and laughter,” he added. “May you rest in peace and I will keep you, your family and close friends in my prayers.”

NFL commentator Robert Griffin III shared a clip from “Friends,” calling Perry “more than Chandler Bing.”

Actress Melissa Gilbert expressed her surprise on social media, sharing a photo of the actor and writing, “No words.”

Rosie O’Donnell also posted his 2022 memoir book cover, captioning it “too hard.”

Maggie Wheeler, who played Janice in “Friends,” shared a sweet photo from their time on the show, captioning it, “What a loss. The world will miss you Mathew Perry . Paget Brewster, who had a small role in “Friends,” tweeted, “I’m so very sad to hear about @MatthewPerry. He was lovely to me on Friends and every time I saw him in the decades after. Please read his book. It was his legacy to help. He won’t rest in peace though.. He’s already too busy making everyone laugh up there.”

Octavia Spencer also took to social media to express her pain following his loss, writing, “I’m incredibly saddened to hear of Matthew Perry’s passing today. His gift to the world will be remembered forever. Sending love to Matthew’s family, friends, co-stars and millions of fans around the world 🤍🕊️”

Lisa Ann Walter reminisced about Perry’s talent via Twitter, writing, “In The Whole Nine Yards – Matthew Perry runs full force into a patio door – that and the scene that followed is one of the top comedic moments I’ve witnessed. I told him so when I recurred on The Odd Couple. He smiled so big I thought he’d crack his face It was beautiful.”

Yvette Nicole Brown, who co-starred alongside Perry in “Odd Couple,” tweeted, “Our #OddCouple family suffered a great loss today. The entire entertainment world has. I am too sad about the news to say more than this: @mattyperry4 was a sweetheart who deserved more peace in this life. 54 is too young to go. We love you, Matty! #RIPMatthewPerry.”

And Perry’s co-star in “A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon” Meredith Salenger shared several photos from their time filming.

“Oh no no no no no! Matty! Oh man. My heart breaks. Matty… Matthew and I have known each other since were were 16 years old. Oh man. No words. Rest in peace sweet @MatthewPerry,” she captioned them.

According to TMZ, which was the first to report the news, the actor was found at his Los Angeles-area home Saturday after spending the morning playing pickleball for a few hours.

His assistant reportedly stepped out to run a couple of errands for Perry, yet when he returned, he found the actor unresponsive and called 911.

The Los Angeles Police Department later confirmed to Page Six that they responded to a call regarding a man “in his 50s” at “4:10 pm this afternoon.” However, they did not reveal the man’s identity.

While they could not confirm if the body was found in a tub, pool, or hot tub, the actor shared an eerie photo of himself lounging in his infinity pool less than one week before his passing.

“Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I’m Mattman,” he captioned the post.

A few days prior, Perry was also seen grabbing dinner with a close friend in Los Angeles.

The “Fools Rush In” star, who rose to fame in the ’90s, seemed to be in great spirits during his last known outing as he chowed down at a popular burger joint.
